Text Messaging Privacy Policy

This policy covers personal information used in Fix It Joe LLC’s customer-service text messaging program. It is specific to SMS and MMS communications about handyman and property maintenance services.

Information used for texting

We collect the mobile number and contact details you provide, the messages and photos you send, job and scheduling details shared in those conversations, and records of your permission or requests to stop texting. Our messaging providers also process delivery information and message timestamps.

How we use it

We use this information to answer inquiries, coordinate requested work, share job photos and updates, confirm appointments, provide arrival updates, send estimate or invoice links, and manage messaging preferences. Authorized personnel may access relevant conversations to help with your service.

Mobile information and consent

We do not sell, rent, or share mobile numbers or text-message consent with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. Consent to this service-texting program is not transferred to another business or used to enroll you in marketing campaigns.

Service providers that deliver messages or securely store our business records, including Twilio, may process the information needed to perform those services on our behalf. This operational processing does not authorize those providers to use your mobile information or messaging consent for their own marketing. Information may also be disclosed when required by law.

Your choices

Texting is optional and is not a condition of purchasing services. Message frequency varies with your inquiry and work. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to the sending number to stop its texts, or HELP for assistance. You can also contact us by phone or email to request that we stop texting, including a request to stop all business texts. Reply START to the sending number if you wish to resume the same service-texting program.

Storage and requests

Messages, photos, and consent records are kept as part of our service and communication history for as long as reasonably needed to provide service, resolve questions, maintain records, or meet applicable obligations. Access is restricted to authorized users and service providers. No electronic system can guarantee absolute security.

Contact joe@fixitjoe.com to request a correction, ask about your information, or request deletion. Some records may need to be retained for business or legal obligations. Avoid sending full payment-card details, passwords, or other sensitive credentials by text.

Updates

Changes to this policy will be posted here with an updated date. A policy update does not, by itself, enroll you in promotional messages.
